And then it was decmber 19th 2002. We were just about two days on the island and
we were ready for the FMP. We met some people on the island so we were with a little group. If you want to party on the island
do it at your cabin and never take it to the party. Check points by the police in the middle of the jungle stop the vehicle
and look at all the people in the taxi to see if there is any drugs present. Even a joint is enough to get busted. What happends
if you get busted. If the amount is small you will be trown out of the country with a stamp in your passport never to enter
Thailand again and you pay a fine up to about $ 1.500,- If you have more you will be trown into the Bangkok Hilton and you
will be there for a long time.
Well we had nothing to fear because T from the resort told us this story before we
left for the FMP. The taxi takes about 45 minutes form the north of the Island to Haad Rin Beach. The last bit of the trip
is takes the longest and has some big hills to climb. We were with the pick up of the resort so it was o.k. but some
of the old taxi's put 10 people inside and cannot climb the hill anymore.
But howerever it doesnīt really matter how you get there because itīs worth it totally. We arrived there
u couldnīt here the music but itīs about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Haad Rin is full of restaurants, bars and beach. If
u are the party the whole time kinda guy u should stay in Haad Rin but if u like jungle and the bounty ideae donīt stay there
but go more north.
There u have numerous jungle parties but when u want to relax there is different bays where u can choose
of many resorts. The beaches are more beautifull up north and there you really have to mind your head because of the coconuts
falling. In Haad rin the beaches are dirty because there is so much partying
going on all the time.
